Boot only, system is installed on harddrive. It worked, ai previously wrote about it <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/index.php\/2022\/12\/05\/ubuntu-server-22-04-boot-from-other-disk-usb-sd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I accidentaly bhysicaly broke the flash disk, so it woas necessary to make a new boot stick. System was up a nd running, here is waht I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Run <strong>gparted<\/strong> an first of all, choose the right device, clear it &#8211; remove all partitions to obtain an unalocated space:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"776\" height=\"228\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1812\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24.png 776w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24-300x88.png 300w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24-768x226.png 768w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24-600x176.png 600w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24-190x56.png 190w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-24-306x90.png 306w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 776px) 100vw, 776px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then click  to <strong>Device<\/strong> menu and <strong>Create partition table<\/strong>. Select <strong>msdos <\/strong>partition type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then rigtclick to unallocated and select <strong>New<\/strong>, then fill folowing values:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"685\" height=\"313\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-25.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1813\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-25.png 685w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-25-300x137.png 300w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-25-600x274.png 600w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-25-131x60.png 131w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-25-197x90.png 197w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 685px) 100vw, 685px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Green check<\/strong> icon on the top to aply changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then rightclick tio newly created partition, select <strong>Manage Flags<\/strong> and select <strong>boot <\/strong>option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"336\" height=\"395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-26.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1814\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-26.png 336w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-26-255x300.png 255w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-26-51x60.png 51w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-26-77x90.png 77w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"765\" height=\"196\" src=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-27.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1815\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-27.png 765w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-27-300x77.png 300w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-27-600x154.png 600w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-27-190x49.png 190w, https:\/\/www.klokocka.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/image-27-351x90.png 351w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 765px) 100vw, 765px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now note name of the device in top right corner (my is <strong>\/dev\/sde<\/strong>), close gparted, open terminal and use following commands: (be sure to write <strong>your<\/strong>s device name)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"generic\" data-enlighter-theme=\"\" data-enlighter-highlight=\"\" data-enlighter-linenumbers=\"\" data-enlighter-lineoffset=\"\" data-enlighter-title=\"\" data-enlighter-group=\"\">sudo grub-install \/dev\/sde \nsudo update-grub\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the usb stick should be bootable.
